Pharmacist as the Prescriber
As of January 1, 2023 our pharmacist is authorized to perform prescribing drugs that are specified in the regulations under the Pharmacy Act, 1991 to treat some minor ailments.
The Lieutenant Governor-in-Council has approved an amendment by the Council of the Ontario College of Pharmacists to the general regulation under the Pharmacy Act, 1991 to allow pharmacists to prescribe certain drugs.
